Every morning and evening a special Atka aarti of Maa Vaishno Devi is organized. The aarti is of about 3 hours and devotees try their best to make it to this special aarti.
Not everyone can cover the distance from Katra to the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi on foot. For those who are not sure if they can walk up to the holy shrine, there are cabs, horses and ponies available. One can also book a helicopter from Katra to Sanji Chhat which is about 2 km from the temple. Book a one-way ride or two-way ride as per your convenience. It takes hardly 5 to 8 minutes by helicopter.Â
